Call to Action

These requests are directed to appropriate legislative, regulatory, and civil-rights oversight bodies and are not intended to influence any pending court decisions.

I am asking my community, lawmakers, disability-rights advocates, domestic-violence organizations, and every person who believes in justice to stand with me in demanding accountability and reform in the family-court system.

No parent should lose their children because an abuser manipulated the courts.

No survivor should be punished for speaking the truth.

No person with a disability should have their rights violated in a courtroom.

No child should suffer because adults in power ignored evidence and enabled abuse.

I am calling for the following immediate action:

1. Statewide oversight of family-court judges and attorneys.

California must establish independent oversight to investigate misconduct, ADA violations, and the misuse of restraining orders and custody proceedings.

2. Mandatory training on domestic violence, coercive control, and disability rights.

Judges, attorneys, custody evaluators, social workers, and mediators must be trained to recognize patterns of abuse, trauma responses, and the legal requirements of the ADA.

3. Enforcement of ADA accommodations in all family-court cases.

Courts must provide equal access for parents with disabilities, including communication assistance, support services, and protection from discrimination.

4. Accountability for attorneys who enable abuse.

Lawyers who knowingly file false allegations, suppress evidence, or participate in retaliatory litigation must face disciplinary action.

5. Requirement that Child Welfare and Family Court work together — not in conflict.

Agencies must share information, assess safety accurately, and remove children from abusive parents instead of prioritizing liability concerns.

6. Reform of custody laws to protect survivors and children.

Custody decisions must be based on evidence, patterns of domestic violence, and the best interests of children — not on who has more money or legal influence.

7. Independent oversight review of family-court practices, using Case No. 17D007339 as an anonymized example of systemic concerns.

My case demonstrates the gaps, discrimination, and misuse of legal tools that survivors across California face. Transparency is necessary to prevent this from happening to others.

Your Voice Matters

By signing and sharing this petition, you help shine a light on misconduct, discrimination, and the harm caused when courts protect abusers instead of victims. Real change begins with public demand and collective action.

Help me fight for:

• parents with disabilities

• survivors of domestic violence

• children who deserve safety and stability

• accountability in our courts

• and justice in a system that has ignored the truth for too long

Together, we can demand reform. Together, we can protect families. Together, we can make sure that what happened in my case never happens again.
