Petition Update: A Second Generation of Silence Must End

I am a second-generation survivor of domestic violence.

My mother was the first.

She lost her life.

I carry not only my own trauma, but the legacy of a system that failed her—and one that continues to fail parents and children today. When institutions ignore warning signs, minimize abuse, or prioritize reputation, power, or convenience over safety, the harm does not end with one victim. It is passed down through generations.

This is not just personal.

It is systemic.

No child should grow up inheriting trauma because courts, attorneys, or agencies failed to act. No parent should be silenced until the cost becomes irreversible. We must stop repeating history by refusing to listen to victims until it is too late.

I am speaking out because survival should not require becoming the next statistic.

I am speaking out because children deserve protection—not excuses.

I am speaking out because silence kills, and accountability saves lives.

I refuse to stay silent while society enables abusers—bullies who misuse people, power, family court, and family law attorneys to harm children and erase loving parents. Abuse does not become acceptable because it is disguised as “legal process.”

This petition is about breaking generational cycles of violence, neglect, and institutional failure. It is about ensuring that what happened to my mother does not happen again—to anyone.

Please continue to share this petition.

Change begins when we refuse to look away.

And I refuse to be silent.
