I *insert name here* pledge to not slut shame anyone. I plan to treat everybody with respect, and not make snap judgements about a person's character due to their appearance. I will also council my peers about the need to treat others with respect and explain the problem of slut shaming. 

I pledge to not call any person a 'slut', even in a joking manner.

I pledge to eliminate the demeaning term from my vocabulary.

I pledge to stick up for anyone who is slut shamed and to not allow the hateful behavior to spread.

Finally, I pledge not to accept the double standard that society has attempted to thrust on us; for each person is an individual with their own sense of self and style. One should have the choice to embrace these differences and create a more peaceful society.

Slut shaming is the act of "criticising a woman for her real or presumed sexual activity, or for behaving in ways that someone thinks are associated with her real or presumed sexual activity". Slut shaming is institutionalized in school systems through sometimes arbitrary dress codes and sexualizes young girls into thinking that clothing determines one's sexual actions. This belief causes men, women, and the mass media to find it acceptable to bully people based on how they dress to correlate to their actions.
