ACT Government Support

Thank you everyone who has signed and shared this petition. We are on our way to 1000 signatures!!! Last Thursday 24th September 15, I received a letter from ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr today outlining his support to assist with lobbying newly appointed Federal Social Services Minister, Christian Porter to make Paid Parental Leave available to Foster and Kinship Parents, as the current legislation excludes them. This will be a benefit to our most vulnerable children coming into the 'Out of Home Care' system at the most crucial time of their development, 0-52 weeks old. Phenomenal!! This is a great result however we still need to make this a Federal issue. Please help by lobbying your local and federal government members to keep this momentum going.
