It is five years today since Kelly lost his life. After a small decrease in restraints the next year, the numbers of restraints used in Japan has plateaued. But people in Japan are still trying to reduce restraints.

Michael Goldberg’s video made in 2019 about Kelly’s life and the psychiatric treatment in Japan and New Zealand is available to borrow if you live in Japan.
