FIGHTING the 2023 rate reductions for SLPs

I am SICK AND TIRED of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services reducing our reimbursement rates on the regular. These rates impact:

-Pay scale

-Types of contracts and benefits we are provided

-Caseload size (as the reimbursements reduce caseloads increase)

-Guide private insurance reimbursement rates

Almost every year we have rate reductions. We have reached unsustainable levels of burn-out, debt, low wages. 

When CMS releases proposed rates, we have a certain time period to respond (this year September 6, 2022). I have inquired about ASHA's response. I requested a copy of what they sent in response...and not surprisingly, I haven't heard back from them. So, now here we are...LET US UNITE AND DEMAND THE RESPECT AND REIMBURSEMENTS WE DESERVE.
