As many of you may have heard, the initial trial for Ken Ward in the Skagit County Superior Court resulted in a hung jury and was declared a mistrial. A new hearing has been scheduled for February 9, in which the prosecution will argue for retrial. If a retrial is confirmed, Ken Ward plans to attempt the necessity defense once more. I will keep this petition open to gather as many signatures as possible in advance of this potential retrial. The objective is to deliver the petition with all of your excellent comments to the court prior to the second attempt at a necessity defense. Please continue to distribute the petition.
