Dear Supporters,
We have emailed a letter with the contents of this Petition to the Minister for Minor Irrigation, under whom the Karnataka Groundwater Authority functions, as well as the BWSSB Chairman, who is a devolved authority under the KGWA Act, to implement the 6 Asks in our Petition, which could effectively stop the lawlessness in Bengaluru with regard to Groundwater.
We hope they implement these immediately, so that the Water Crisis doesn't get worse.
Ground water is a public resource, and should be reserved only for Public use. It shoudl not be exploited for construction use or for Commercial use.
The Govt needs to stop the theft / misuse of groundwater immediately.
