It is important to keep in mind that we need to keep discussion open and vigorous in the face of this global pandemic, which should rightly concern every one of us. We need to appreciate the advances in technology that can and should be deployed where needed; but we also need to understand the downsides clearly.

I never thought that this petition would gain so much momentum in so short a timespan. What I can say, other than a big 'thank you' to all those who have chosen to make your voice heard, is to continue participating in civil society and discussion with your family, friends, and peers.
