Yesterday, pay-for-play politics were put on full display at the City Council's Health Committee. Marilyn Labkon, Adam Labkon and their lawyers/lobbyists were warmly embraced by the Health Committee. Claiming 40 inspections by Julie Morita's Dept. of Public Health with no violations, the committee refused to hear a petition filed by Alderman Hopkins to prevent GI from operating at 5AM. How many of those 40 inspections included air quality testing? None.
