Dear Neighbor: For years, many of us who live, work and raise our families in Lincoln Park have often wondered what exactly have we been inhaling as a result of General Iron’s operations on a daily basis? Now we know. In October 2016, an air quality study around the General Iron facility was undertaken by Professor Victoria Persky and Professor Serap Erdal from UIC’s department of Public Health. The results of this scientific study will be shared with the public on Tuesday May 15th at 6PM. The presentation will be held at 2017 N. Mendell. Please invite as many people as you know.
