The Organizing Committee delivered our letter asking for voluntary recognition of our union today! Read our full letter below! 

Dear John and Damon Morris, James Buckley, and Card Kingdom management, 

We, the undersigned members of the Card Kingdom Union are excited to write today to inform you that we have organized a union. We ask that you voluntarily recognize our Union as we have achieved majority support on union cards. We request that you work with us to determine a mutually agreed upon third party for this recognition process. We will be represented in this endeavor by UFCW 3000.

Too often today employers hire union busting law firms to intimidate workers exercising their right to organize. We recognize Card Kingdom’s desire to foster a campfire community with customers and uphold ethical business practices, and we ask this same commitment be extended to Card Kingdom’s workers and our right to organize.

We ask that Card Kingdom management respect this fundamental human and civil right of workers to form unions. We ask that you not interfere in any manner with our union, acknowledge and respect our right to collectively bargain, and pledge not to engage in any union busting activity. 

We request you respond by Monday, May 16th at 5 pm.
