Exciting breaking news for our Rainbow Crossing supporters.

Kia ora Rainbow Crossing supporting whanau,

There's been some radio silence for a while becase of Tauranga's local body elections. But, you might remember at the last meeting of TCC Comissioners at the end of May, the incredible Ben Hurley and Jan Tinetti presented our petition.

The result was the commissioners asked for TCC transport staff to prepare a paper on the proposed 'crossing' to be be presented back to the new council.

Well, good news. We've heard today that the TCC staff paper will be presented for adotpion during September's council meeting.

We believe there's majority support within the new council, but please we need you, amazing supporter, to do a couple of things...

1. We'll restart promotion of the petition very shortly. When you see it on your social media, or you hear of a friend or family member spotting it on social media. Share, share, share please. The more names the better.
2. If you know any of the newly elected councillors, or feel up to doing a bit of lobbying, please get in touch with any of the councillors or mayor to show that you want a Rainbow Crossing to showcase Tauranga Moana as a city that embraces diversity.
   Thanks team,

We're getting there. More updates as they come.
