Dear friends and supporters,
Thank you sincerely for supporting Maddy and the many other Canadians with Tethered Cord Syndrome and its many other co-occurring conditions.
Nobody should go without medical care, if expert care is available just across the border. But that care should NOT be dependent upon financial resources. This is not universal health care!
Proper surgical treatment and assessment for co-occurring conditions for Tethered Cord greatly reduces the need for future surgeries and other costly medical treatments.
Without surgery, Maddy and others like her will face paralysis and permanent nerve loss.
Please help us raise awareness of this gap in Canadian care! Let's push for provincial insurance programs to cover out-of-country treatments that will reduce costs and suffering in the long run.
Please share with your networks, so we can make this happen! Thank you sincerely.
