East Hants District Council yesterday released the date for the (Reg 19) public consultation of their next Draft of the Local Plan: November 2022.  

Will Chawton Park Farm be in it?  We are working with your support to stop this if we can. Please carry on sharing the petition and thank you for what you've done so far.  We are nearly at 4500 and want to get to 5000 - 25% of Alton's population.

It will then go to the Planning Inspector for Examination in 'Spring' 2023.

New Local Plan Timetable
East Hampshire District Council has updated the Local Development Scheme.

This is the timetable associated with the new Local Plan, which will deliver the strategy and accompanying policies to guide the development needed to support our growing communities, whilst providing a ‘Green Print’ for new higher standards on sustainable housebuilding.
Since beginning work on the new Local Plan in 2018, there has already been extensive evidence base gathering, early engagement and initial consultations.

Over the coming months we will be refining our evidence base to support a sound Local plan.

The next stage of formal consultation will be November 2022, whereby we will be engaging with stakeholders and members of the public on our Submission Draft Local plan, which will then be submitted for Examination in Spring 2023 along with any representations made.
