Hi everyone.
Overnight, we reached the incredible milestone of 100,000 signatures. Thank you all for your ongoing support, I couldn't have done this without you.
As Gladys Berejiklian has repeatedly refused to engage with me, meet with me about this campaign or shift from her 18-days-a-year flag flying policy, I'm going to try to hit her where it hurts - money!
As the SMH reported, the state government makes "significantly more" than $1.9 million a year from the BrideClimb so today I'm asking you to join me in boycotting the tourist attraction - until the Premier agrees to fly the Aboriginal flag up there permanently.
Can you share your support on social media today using #BoycottBridgeClimb
In the SMH the BridgeClimb have said the flags "are not their responsibility."
But I don't buy this.
Lots of neutral companies and individuals supported human rights during the marriage equality campaign. This campaign is no different.
The flag next gets unfurled the day after Australia Day but, as the SMH reports, the new Labor leader and a former Liberal Premier now back my campaign.
It's sad we have to resort to this - but Gladys won't listen or act, and thousands of tourists are climbing our nation's most famous landmark without seeing a single Aboriginal flag.
Please encourage others to use the hashtag #BoycottBridgeClimb
Thanks,
Cheree
