The Aboriginal flag is raised for a number of days in the spirit of National Aboriginal Islander Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) Week - which celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Join me and Amnesty International this Saturday 8 July at 10am for a group photo at The Sydney Opera House, infront of the bridge to celebrate NAIDOC Week and the flag flying on the bridge during this significant week. The photo will raise further awareness and boost the potential the campaign already has. We want to show the the decision makers just how much community support we have in the hope that they will follow in the foot steps of our Governor. So come down, get your photo and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their culture now and forever.
