My name is Ghazwan. I am a Canadian citizen and father of four. I survived 10 months in a foreign prison with no insulin, no medication for my PTSD, no CPAP for sleep apnea, no mattress, no blanket, and no access to a lawyer. I was never convicted of a crime. I was never given due process.

I begged the Canadian Embassy for help—again and again—but their response was minimal. I suffered alone while my health deteriorated. I still live with the trauma of what happened.

I’m speaking out now—not just for myself, but to protect other Canadians abroad who may face medical neglect or legal injustice while waiting for help that never comes.
