Last month, The Look of Silence was shown in Dili to interesting reactions. Read a brief report here: http://etan.org/news/2015/09look_in_dili.htm
Also: Former Timor-Leste President Jose Ramos-Horta in The Huffington Post, recently supported "the declassification of the documents relating to the U.S. involvement in supporting and funding the events leading to the Indonesian bloodbath of 1965-66, as well as their involvement in the invasion of Timor-Leste and other gross human rights violations in the name of the Cold War."
We thank you for signing ETAN's petition urging the U.S. to declassify its records and acknowledge the U.S. role in these and other crimes by Indonesia's security forces.
Please be sure that your friends, family and colleagues sign ETAN"s petition. Please share the link on facebook, email, etc. Here is a shortened version http://chn.ge/1v50Edj to help you spread the word.
ETAN also has background and other materials on the 1965/66 massacres - http://etan.org/shattersilence/default.htm
