The purpose of this petition is to count the Pentaxians interested in this nice lens that is currently only available in Canon, Nikon and Sigma mounts for now, although it was initially announced for Pentax too.

As changing a mount should be neither complicated nor expensive for Sigma, it is important that Pentaxians prove their motivation and cohesion by showing a potential market for the lens manufacturer.

For the moment, there is no 300mm f/2.8 in AF version for Pentax, except the Sigma 300mm fixed focal ! But the 120-300mm is less expensive, has the same optical quality, is weather-sealed, has HSM autofocus and most of all is a ZOOM (you cannot be too close of an animal anymore). With a 2X multiplicator, you obtain a splendid 240-600mm f/5.6, which is a superb competitor to the mythical Pentax FA* 250-600/5.6 ED [IF], but with 2kg less and a shorter minimal focusing distance.

So please, all of you interested here in long focals, make hear your voice ! When we get 1000 signatures, we will send it to Sigma. A market of $3500 x 1000 Pentaxians= $3 500 000 cannot be neglected !

Le but de cette pétition est de dénombrer les Pentaxistes intéressés par cette superbe optique actuellement seulement disponible en montures Canon, Nikon et Sigma, alors même qu'elle a été annoncée initialement par Sigma comme devant aussi sortir en monture Pentax.

L'adaptation en monture Pentax n'est ni complexe, ni coûteuse pour Sigma. Aussi il est important que les Pentaxistes prouvent leur motivation en te leur cohésion en démontrant l'existence d'un marché potentiel pour le fabricant d'objectifs.

Pour le moment, il n'existe aucun objectif autofocus 300mm f/2.8 pour Pentax, hormis la focale fixe de Sigma ! Mais le 120-300mm est moins coûteux , offre la même qualité optique, est tropicalisé, propose un autofocus HSM et, plus que tout, est un ZOOM (ainsi, vous ne serez plus jamais trop proche d'un animal). Équipé d'un doubleur de focale, on le transforme en un splendide 240-600mm f/5.6, un superbe compétiteur pour le désormais mythique Pentax FA* 250-600/5.6 ED [IF], mais avec 2kg de moins et une distance de mise au point plus courte.

Alors s'il vous plaît, à vous les amateurs de longues focales, faites entendre votre voix ! Dès que nous aurons 1000 signatures, nous enverrons la pétition à Sigma. Un marché de 2500€ x 1000 Pentaxistes = 2,5 Millions € n'est plus vraiment négligeable !
