Natives of Siargao are a welcoming people. What we don't welcome are the visitors' trash. Most of these come from plastic food packaging materials. Before the tourism boom years, this problem was unheard of. To stop the onslaught of unwanted debris, there ought to be a law banning plastics and the likes to preserve the beauty of Siargao. The surfing capital of the Philippines do not want to have a sea of garbage but  more waves of fun.
