In December of last year, the residents and governing body of Ocean Isle Beach successfully thwarted a plan to open a fox pen in their area, citing cruelty to animals and the threat of disease as two of their top reasons for denying permission for the pen. Coyote and fox penning is nothing more than legalized dog fighting and wildlife trafficking, and the vast majority of the population in our great state do not support the existence of the pens, nor the abuses they affect on the wildlife trapped there. Yet there are currently 106 pens in operation in NC.

Let's end this cruel, senseless torture of wildlife and major threat to our health and public safety, now, once and for all. We need 5,000 signatures to take this petition to our state representatives and to Governor Cooper.
