To our 1,059 amazing supporters,

Because of YOU, change is starting to happen. Over the past few weeks, we’ve been reaching out to local authorities, community leaders, and changemakers about the serious concerns surrounding Field of Screams — and it’s working.

Gene and Jimmy, the owners of Field of Screams, seem to have heard our voices. Anonymous sources have even shared screenshots showing that sexual harassment training is now planned for staff. This may only be the first step, but it’s proof that raising awareness and standing together can spark real change.

The following was posted to the Official Field Of Screams Staff Facebook group:

We are gearing up for another great season at America's #1 Haunted Attraction, and we're excited to welcome you back to Field of Screams.
Before we launch into some upcoming dates to save as we start the season, we wanted to acknowledge the recent comments made by former volunteers who stated they were treated inappropriately while participating at Field of Screams. For more than 30 years, we have been committed to providing a safe, professional and enjoyable experience for our guests and our dedicated volunteers and employees. This has always been-and will continue to be-our very top priority, and we will strive to do even better to meet this promise by taking additional steps to provide a safe environment for all of our volunteers, employees and guests. Effective immediately, we plan to strengthen our screening and hiring practices for all employees and volunteers by implementing the following: Although all of our volunteers and employees sign and acknowledge our sexual harassment policy and are given contact information for several designated employees that they can report workplace concerns to, we plan to strengthen our training and reporting process by requiring a mandatory sexual harassment training provided by a third party that all volunteers and employees must take part in prior to participating at Field of Screams.
We are committed to adding public safety and support resources for our staff.
We have implemented a tipline that volunteers/ employees can use to report concerns via the actor portal. You will regularly see visible signage for this tipline in the FX building and breakrooms, as well as in the actor portal.
We will be providing additional training to managers
on how to identify harassment and how to handle reports of it, including making a Child Line report if necessary.
For nearly five years, we have required all adult volunteers to undergo background checks and we have proactively dismissed any paid or unpaid applicant who did not have a clear sexual assault or abuse record. We will continue this practice this year.

I felt compelled to share this with you, as it shows real change can happen, and our voices are being heard!

Let’s take a moment to celebrate this milestone — and then keep going. Every share, every signature, every conversation helps us build a safer and more accountable community.

Next Goal: 1,500 Signatures
If each of us shares this petition with just one friend, we’ll reach that milestone in no time — and show that the demand for change is only growing stronger.

Thank you for being part of this movement. Together, we’re making a difference.

— Elizabeth Fromm
