Thank you for your message and for bringing this important issue to our attention. I acknowledge receipt of your petition regarding the Deadbolt Bar and understand the concerns surrounding the repeated violent incidents.

I want to clarify that the summary closure process is specific to the Chicago Police Department (CPD), but please be assured that we are working diligently with them on this matter. Your concerns are being taken seriously, and I have forwarded your message to BACP’s Liquor and Hospitality team. We will also follow up with Alderman LaSpata to ensure that your voice is heard and to discuss the community meeting process.
