Hi Everyone,

I wanted to express my sincere gratitude to each of you who has signed and shared this petition. Your support means a great deal.

I also want to thank those who have bravely shared their stories, both here and with the media. It is our collective voice that will drive this petition to success and demonstrate to our Alderman, Mayor, and City Council the true essence of community. Per the Alderman's office there is a summary closure to come soon and multiple publications have reached out including Block Club Chicago and The Eater.

I am no stranger to gun violence. My brother was murdered at 18 and my roommate, Bill Hair, was killed during a botched robbery in Chicago in 2023. While those events in my life remain unresolved, the swift action you have taken by signing this petition has shown me that positive change is indeed possible.

Thank you for inspiring me to be LOUD, even in the face of potential retaliation. Please continue to share your stories, and let’s aim to get this petition to 1000+ signatures.
