Call off the ban on the BBC documentary "India's Daughter".

Call off the ban on the BBC documentary "India's Daughter".

The Issue

There is nothing in this documentary that is so objectionable that its airing be banned. It doesn't glorify the rapists but asks telling questions of attitudes that are prevalent in our society.

It doesn't insult our society anymore than the repeated occurrences of acts of rape and routine condoning of such acts as unfortunate and preventable mishaps.

Rape is not an unfortunate and preventable mishap. It's a heinous crime.

This documentary shows a mirror to our society where we have misguided youth with warped attitudes towards women that are genuinely a century behind current times at the very least.

Doing away with the  ban on this documentary is the least we can do to acknowledge the need to change our attitudes toward rapes.Perhaps this documentary needs to be aired on DD our national TV channel, not suppressed!
