I am, CA C R Luniya from Pune. I am working as an activist for a Mission VegDegree i.e. "Degree for Vegetarians in Hotel Management Courses".
The Central Government accepted my say and brought in 'Option of Learning Vegetarian only' in all the IHM and FCI, around more than 100 under NCHMCT in India, for the first time in the world. This Option is available since 2016.
You will find the announcement of availability of option on Website of almost every IHM and advertisement material of NCHMCT and IHM. This option will bring in the untapped talent of Vegetarian Passionate Students to the Hospitality Industry who were away because of Learning Non-Veg in the curriculum.
It may be a surprise for some of you that more than 2,000 students have already taken the admission for the Degree course with Veg Only option. We have started giving awards to students ranked 1st and 2nd in every academic year of students opting for 'Learning Vegetarian only option' in all the IHM under NCHMCT all over India.
Now, I want to request the Industry Leaders to create facilities for these students to do Vegetarian only during their internship and job in food production and allow them to follow their passion.
Also, a thought process for creating a Separate Vegetarian only Restaurant with dedicated Vegetarian kitchen is required to be started on large scale. Vegetarian community which is largely away due to mix food nature of the Restaurants, it will start coming to these dedicated Restaurants. You will agree that more and more people all over world are becoming Vegetarian even Vegan, so there is a big business opportunity for Hospitality industry. (Every star category Hotel who is having more than one Restaurant, they can, if not already having, start with at-least a smaller one with Veg Only Restaurant and kitchen).
