Hello, 

The Shredford Skatepark Project team would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that has signed and shared the petition so far, and to let you know about the progress we are making. 

Today we passed another milestone in our journey to get Bedford a new skatepark. We sat down had a great conversation with the local Parks Director and his team. After giving our pitch, they responded very positively, and want to help support this in anyway they can. We really appreciate them taking the time to listen to us and we are grateful for their support. However, this doesn't mean we will have a new park tomorrow. We like to remind everyone that this is a long process and we still have a ways to go. Next, we plan on bring our pitch to the parks board and hopefully getting an ok from them. In the meantime we will be preparing for that, by working to make sure we thoroughly present our case. Please continue to share the petition with friends, family, co-workers, etc... They were very impressed with the amount of support we have already gotten from the community, and the more support the better. We are almost to 1000 signatures as of writing this!
