Fans of the novel upon which the film was based and fans of the film in general would like to see the original director's cut of the film restored, as the studio's theatrical release was heavily re-edited and censored and the inserted ending was a disappointment to many. Director Jeffrey Bloom's cut was closer to the novel and made the story more complex and interesting. Many fans of this cult film like myself would love to see Jeffrey Bloom's original vision restored, and of the film of which was approved of by V.C. Andrews herself before it was cut to pieces. If someone could make that happen, I know it would make many people happy.
