Sherington Primary school is an outstanding local community school. To convert it to an Academy Trust would be detrimental to the pupil's education and staff's nationally agreed terms and conditions. Academy trusts are known to come into a school and claim they are best placed to deliver an excellent education for the children yet a couple of years in, things change, and not for the better. Academy Trusts are well know for paying Senior management high end salaries while good teachers and support staff jobs are lost due to financial difficulties .We are asking for the school to stay within the local authority and continue to deliver an excellent education for the pupils.
