Mr Darryl Eyers has asked me to respond to you directly.
We do understand the concerns relating to the current closure at Shay Lane however we have been assured by our strutures team that the culvert is in danger of collapse and as such we have introduced a road closure to both protect highway users and the structure whilst further investigations take place.
Our Asset Managemet teams are currently considering all options at this site including the substancial cost of rebuilding the structure.
Further information will be shared as soon as possible.

Pardoning the pun , whilst not good news they are looking into it , the hole/collapsed culvert.
What the council have failed to realise is how many vehicles use shay lane regularly. The paper petition is now over 450 signatures and we've not been out there every day, all day .
The next County Council meeting is on 13th October and we will be handing over the paper petition to Mark Winnington about a week before at the collapsed culvert with a Shropshire Star reporter attending. Date and time will be published so as many of us can be there too.
Keep spreading the word , these LANES are dangerous so please take care .
