According to the Bylaws of the Board of Trustees for Bennett College, the Board of Trustees has the responsibility for the governance of the college, protection of the fiscal and financial assets of the college, and to institute and promote major fundraising efforts. Article III, Section 2, under Officers of the College and the section on the role of the Chair' responsibilities include the following:

• the Chair shall be able and willing to provide the time, resources and efforts required to be an effective leader
• Have a commitment to be a zealous advocate on behalf of the College
• Be financially sophisticated, not just literate
• Have a demonstrated commitment to fundraising and be comfortable leading those efforts (both personally and with donors)

With all that we have learned from her actions or lack thereof, Gladys Robinson's assertion that, " she doesn't have time for this, she's a state senator," and the fact that she has failed to lead and galvanize the Board of Trustees to fundraise; is cause for a vote of NO CONFIDENCE. We, alumnae, parents, and students affiliated with Bennett College; do not have confidence in Gladys A. Robinson as Chair of the Board of Trustees for Bennett College. We are calling for the immediate resignation of Gladys Robinson from the Board.

We want as many signatures by 1/18/19 so that this petition can be presented to the Board of Trustees in time for them to take immediate action. We are respectfully requesting the Board replace her with someone that can vigorously and urgently meet the 4 requirements cited above as well as the other responsibilities required of the chair.
