Please read the news article. The NDP Government is complete out of bounds on this one. Taxing used vechiles as if they are in exactly the same condition, same mileage etc by insisting that all used vehicles be classified as Average in the black book. That amount is what they base the payable tax on at an marked up PST of 12% not 7%. So they are double dipping and gouging each and every person in BC that purchases a used car or truck. Shows you that the NDP government isn't here for the residents of British Columbia.
