We are so very close to the 400 supporter mark.
Please share the petition and being your friends into this worthy cause!
I would like to put out a few other resources that are worth of checking on about the local issue we are dealing with.
Suzanne Oel, Division 4 Councillor for the M.D. of Foothills has been documenting and advocating for Dark Sky Country along with her co- Dark Sky Initiatives Stakeholders Working Group member, Division 3 Councillor Jason Parker.
Suzanne has some very good resources and information on her website related to the Dark Sky protection efforts that have been going on within the M.D. of Foothills over the last years. I urge you to visit the website and check it out: http://www.suzanneoel.com/
The light pollution topic seems to be hitting the news today and not just on the local levels.
There have been a few articles come up over the last 24 hours that relate to the Dark Sky and Light Pollution that are worth noting.
Time has put out and article called "Light Pollution Is Getting Worse Every Year. That's Bad For Your Health" that can be found at: http://time.com/5033099/light-pollution-health/
USA Today also has an article called "Farewell to night? Light pollution reducing darkness worldwide" that can be found at: https://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/science/2017/11/22/farewell-night-light-pollution-reducing-darkness-worldwide/888786001/
This issue is bigger than just a local one, but change can only be made with people taking a stand in their local area and demanding better!
Thank you again to everyone who has added your voice to this effort and an even bigger thank you to those of you who have shared and talked about this issue with others to get them on board!
Lets make that push for 500 supporters!
