The Chairman of the Wharekahika Māori Committee reported back to the whānau of Hinemaurea ki Wharekahika Marae today the official news that Ngāti Porou Holding Company as well as Eastland Port have withdrawn from any Port Development In Wharekahika. The pre feasibility study was presented which showed that this venture was unlawful, financially unattainable, and not viable environmentally. A copy of the pre feasibility report and all documentation, including this petition will be held at Te Puna Manaaki a Ruataupare in Onepoto, Wharekahika.
