This morning I met with Mayor Jeffe who is extremely supportive of our cause and has asked that I come to the Sewickley Council meeting on June 10 to present the petition. After this Mayor Jeffe has said he will push the Council to adopt a resolution prohibiting the use of the fire horn. He also told me that, not surprisingly, he has received complaints about the horn before. Additionally, I emailed Chief Neff last night to see if this petition could be transformed into a fundraising campaign for any communication equipment the Fire Department may need to replace the horn. I have not heard back from Chief Neff yet but will let everyone know if I do. It would be great to find a way to make this petition a win for the town and a win for the fire department. In the meantime, it would be good to have as many signatures as possible by June 10, so please remain active in spreading the word. Sincerely, Matt Chapman
