Sorry is as sorry does, so we will continue to ask the Victorian Government implement in full Royal Commission Recommendation 9.1, which would significantly imrprove access to health, social, community and justice services, for victim/survivors and their families. The NSW government has implemented this recommendation in full, and we will continue to encourage the Victorian government to learn from their NSW counterparts.
Wonderful to see Stuart Grimley at the apology, acknowledged for his advocacy which included the tabling of our petition in Parliament.
Terrific to see journalist Russell Jackson acknowledged by the Victorian Government, for his public interest journalism, that played a significant role in the Victorian Government establishing the Beaumaris Board of Inquiry. Thank you to those who answered our recent call to nominate Russell for an Australian of the Year award, 2027.
