We are very excited to let all our supporters know, we are meeting with a senior Executive of the Victorian Department of Education in a couple of weeks’ time. To talk about gaps in current services and supports for survivors, families and communities, at which we will also talk about the outcomes our petition seeks.

We are also very happy to share that this meeting was offered to us by the Secretary of the Victorian Department of Education.

This is indicative of positive change in the wake of the findings of the Board of Inquiry into historical child sexual abuse in Beaumaris Primary School and certain other government schools, of proactive engagement of survivors and family members, in change. Given all our numerous requests for a meeting with a member of the Victorian government and Victorian government departments over more than two years, had been met with silence.

We will update you on how this meeting goes, and remain so grateful to all our supporters, who continue to inspire and encourage us to keep working towards achieving our petition outcomes.
