Victorian Child Sexual Abuse Survivors and Supporters lunches provide places and spaces for survivors of child sexual abuse and their supporters to come together every couple of months. With people coming from all over Victoria to attend, and interest from interstate groups as well.
Although mainly held in Ballarat, there's plans to host future lunches in Geelong, Melbourne, and other locations in Victoria in the future.
Sharing the details of the upcoming lunch on Sunday, 12th November 2023, from 12 PM, which is at the Black Hill Hotel, which graciously provides us with a wonderful private room at no charge, and with no minimum spend required. The hotel also has a decent carpark and is wheelchair accessible too.
We know the Bayside and other Melbourne communities are dealing with the revelations of multiple perpertrators employed at numeerous government schools, associated with the current Board of Inquiry into historical child sexual abuse in Beaumaris Primary School and certain other government schools. So we're sharing the details of the next lunch, with Ballarat accessible by car and also by train.
With the Final Report of the Board of Inquiry into historical child sexual abuse in Beaumaris Primary School and certain other government schools due to be delivered to the Victorian Premier on 28 February 2024, we'll discuss at the upcoming lunch the possibility of holding a lunch in March 2024, in a Melbourne bayside location.
You don't need to RSVP to attend the lunch on 12th November, you can just turn up on the day. Details of the lunch is on the following Facebook event.
