Two days ago we provided 273 pages that are our Petition and Signatures, ahead of it being tabled in Victorian State Parliament. Tuesday 7 June around 11:30 - 12PM is a tentative date and time for this happening, which we will be able to confirm over the coming days. We need as many faces and voices as possible to maximise media coverage, to increase acknowledgement of historical institutional child sexual abuse in Beaumaris and surrounding communities. And increase services and supports for all Victorian communities.

The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse resulted in a national acknowledgement and apology, and a number of recommendations that Federal and State governments have varied in their levels of assurance and commitments, let alone, actions.

Our petition is asking the Victorian State Government to consider ...

not why they should act, as the moral, social and economic benefits are well known and compelling,

nor

what they should do, as there are too many local and international frameworks and case studies they can adopt and adapt,

but

why haven't they acted?

We welcome anyone wishing to share with media about why our Petition outcomes matter to you, your family and your community. Email us on 3193survivorsfamilies@gmail.com to learn more, or RSVP via our Facebook event.

Celebrate Our Petition Being Tabled In Victorian State Parliament.

Thank you to every one of our 12,654 Petitioners for standing with all Victorian survivors of childhood sexual abuse, their families, friends and communities.

The changes we are seeking will benefit all Victorian communities, including those impacted by historic, institutional child sexual abuse in Beaumaris and neighbouring communities.
