Koreans have Sambok/Boknal which means “Three dog meat eating days” to fight the heat during the summer. The dates are based on the lunar calendar and they are on the July 13th, 23th, and August 1st this year. It is said that a million dogs are slaughtered during this period out of 2 million dogs consumed every year.
We, as a team are getting ready to campaign to bring the awareness, and to lower the dog meat consumption this year. 100,000 copies of flyers will be printed by June and be distributed at two locations in Seoul. Moran dog meat markets and the most busy street in Seoul. Volunteers are required to distribute the flyers at two locations reaching out to the people, the target is those 50+ men. This is the best way to meet and speak to the dog eaters direct. Click for details and how you can help! http://koreandogs.org/seoul-campaign-2015/
