The Stewart Amendment passed out of committee and gives the BLM the "tools to manage" and "allows for humane euthanasia", though not horse slaughter. While groups play with semantics like, "Euthanasia is slaughter", and then say "#NoHorseSlaughter" THAT'S A DANGEROUS GAME This leaves the door open for Congress to vote FOR "Humane Euthanasia". It's time to update our mantra to include #NoMassEuthanasia, #NoHumaneEuthanasia, along with, #NoHorseSlaughter. In this Interior Appropriation committee hearing, Representative Wasserman Shultz specifically states that a 2017 poll shows that 87% of Trump votes are opposed to horse slaughter and 77% of Democrats are opposed to horse slaughter. We and our Congress persons, have known for years that 80% of Americans oppose horse slaughter. Hence congress persons KNOW it would be political suicide to openly vote for horse slaughter, and they will not. However, they are seriously planning MASS EUTHANASIA or, as they say, "Humane Euthanasia" and then they say, just like we do with dogs and cats. If you don't tell them not to do this, this is what they will do. CALL, SIGN, SHARE! Both the House of Representatives and the full Senate will have to vote if the Stewart Amendment makes it through the House to the Senate, so please call all of your own Representatives and Senators and say #NoMassEuthanasia and #NoHorseSlaughter Americans do believe that Mass or "Humane" Euthanasia of our wild horses would be a slaughter, and are opposed, however, words are important here and we need to clearly CLOSE THE DOOR to both!
