Hello Everyone, Thanks for signing this petition against the anti-protest law in North Carolina. Last month, Sen. Dan Bishop (Charlotte) promised to introduce a bill that would criminalize peaceful activists for confronting or “intimidating” public officials in North Carolina. If introduced, this bill would be a massive threat to freedom of speech, and it could discourage North Carolinians from holding elected officials accountable. As GOP representatives cancel Town Halls and flee from protestors around the country (Richard Burr refuses to meet with us!), protecting our right to address our concerns to them in person is every more important. Please take a moment today to call Sen Dan Bishop AND your state senator, and tell them why this bill shouldn’t be introduced. Office of Sen.
