SILENT MEN
Happy Sabbath Brothers and Sisters,
Dr Vine should have delivered his sermon entitled "Silent Men" at the Denton SDA Campmeeting at D'Sozo camp in North Carolina by now.
I hope that we all get to see it.

As we pray for the Holy Spirit to lead and guide him and all the other presenters, let us do what we can to help those of that state as well as  other areas that were devastated by Hurricane Helene.
There are many organizations that we can donate to help, including ADRA.

We are likely familiar with phrases such as
" silence is golden" and "he that keepeth his mouth, keepeth his life"
Is there a time when silence is wrong ? YES

Many have likely assumed that Eve was alone at the time of her deception and fall.
But read Genesis 3:6 again,it tells you that Adam was with her.

Genesis 3:6 says,

"When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate"

Yes,Adam was with her the Scriptures states.
Why didn’t he command the serpent to leave? Why didn’t he correct Eve when she misquoted the command not to eat of the tree? Why didn’t he suggest they go somewhere else to talk about the situation? Why didn’t he stop Eve when she reached for the fruit?
Why did he keep SILENT as the woman (church) entertained the serpent ( devil)?

Genesis 1:2 says that the earth was formless and void and darkness was over the surface of the deep.
In other words there was chaos until God spoke "Let there be light".

God moved  into the chaos and created order and life.

Genesis 1:26 says that man was created in God’s image ,and one of his purpose was to rule over the rest of creation. Man was to help maintain order.

This means that when life is chaotic, we need to speak up and do something.
We should not remain silent and utter self pacifying phrases such as " its God's church and He will fix it"
Who will God use if not us?
Must the rocks cry out !

The Scriptures is full of examples of the result of men being silent.
We can read  the story of Eli and his wayward sons. His silence lead to destruction and loss of lives including his own.

We can read the story of Lot who was silent in Sodom.
When he finally spoke up it was too late, his children did not regard him as one who was serious.

We can read the story of silent Isaac who knew the prophecy concerning his two sons.
Because he was afraid to act, his wife tried to take over and handle the problem. It backfired and the family was split up and Isaac and Rebekah never saw Jacob again.

"If God abhors one sin above another, of which His people are guilty, it is doing nothing in case of an emergency. Indifference and neutrality in a religious crisis is regarded of God as a grievous crime and equal to the very worst type of hostility against God." EGW

We are in the midst of a religious crisis as a church.

1. We are decreasing the distance between us and Rome and promoting doctrines of devils such as Rome has changed.

2. We are trampling the sanctuary and it's truths underfoot

3. We are trampling on freedom of conscience and trying to pass this off with political ploys.
4. We are using loud charismatic services to drown out the still small voice of the Holy Spirit

5. We are in a Laodicean state as described in Revelation 3.

It's time for us to turn to God with all our hearts.
Joel 2:12-13 tells us of this.

Ezekiel 9:4 tells us that a mark will be placed on the foreheads of those that cry and sigh for the abominations  that are done among us.

So let's not be silent.
Please share this petition with more and more people.
Signing the petition is good but we must share far and wide.
We should also call for a global church survey about issues like the 2015 ADCOM STATEMENT that presumed to speak for a global church.

Please contact Dr David Trim who heads ASTR at the GC ,the department that conducts global church surveys
trimd@gc.adventist.org.
Let's not be silent

God bless you all.
