The Council has published a lease notice. Now it needs to hear from you

Thank you. More than 670 of you signed this petition asking Hillingdon Council to secure the track at Pole Hill and agree a long-term lease with West London Racing Centre.
There’s now real progress. On 28 October the Council published a formal notice in the Uxbridge Gazette proposing to grant WLRC a lease of the track at Pole Hill Recreation Ground. The lease would give the club the security to fence and protect the site.
But this isn’t a done deal. Because the track sits on public open space, the law requires the Council to consult before it can grant a lease, and to consider every response it receives. If it hears mostly from people who object, this chance could slip away.
Signing this petition doesn’t count as a response to the consultation. To be counted, you need to email the Council directly.
How to respond (it takes about five minutes):
Email: estatesandvaluation@hillingdon.gov.uk
Subject: Notice of Proposed Letting of Land at Pole Hill Recreation Ground, Petworth Gardens, Hillingdon - in support
Copy in: secretary@wlrc.co.uk, so we know it’s been sent
Say: that you support the proposed lease, and why, in your own words. Personal emails carry more weight than copied text.
Include: your full name and postal address
Deadline: 5.30pm on Monday 30 November
If you live in Hillingdon, your voice matters most. Please respond, and ask family and neighbours who know the track to do the same.
Everything you need, including a one-click button that fills in the address and subject, is at wlrc.co.uk/pole-hill.
Thank you for standing with the club, the volunteers and the young people who use the track every week.
