I, Mustafa El Shabazz Bey, on behalf of the people of Columbia, South Carolina, do thank each and every one of you who have signed this petition. Without you, we would not be able to have the kind of influence and power to move the City Council to reconsider their proposal to relocate the people who are unfortunately homeless 15 miles outside the city of Columbia, to an area that does not provide any opportunity to receive the services each individual may need, including employment... We just passed 300 signatures, and are still in need of more, and so, if you or anyone you know has viewed and signed this petition, if you could help us share this petition to help us acquire the signatures we desperately need...We, the people of Columbia would greatly appreciate your help.. I am going to send a copy of several news articles to show everyone that this story is being discussed at length by the news media and these articles are very detailed. Please take time to read each article and let your voice be heard and your presence felt from wherever you may be in the world, to show that WE are United and stand against ALL forms of governmental sponsored oppression and neglect of official duty owed to ALL AMERICAN PEOPLE, regardless of their social status and that We will hold each official accountable for their role in causing another tragedy or loss of one of our own to happen in our city due to extreme weather conditions and the lack of care and concern from the city leaders, as well as the lack of resources and adequate shelter... once again, thank you all, we love you and look forward to hearing from you soon...
