My name is Lindsey Noack and I'm a senior at Centereach High School. I'm a high honor roll student and play field hockey for the school and this year I was determined to be the kicker for the varsity football team. However, according to Section xi, unless I were to be playing soccer for the school team I can not participate in dual sports. In my opinion, this is extremely unfair and I feel I am very capable of being the kicker for the team. I have been practicing since the spring of my junior year and I also attended their practices over the summer as well as their preseason. I’ve worked really hard to improve myself and to prepare for the season, and I feel that I’ve improved very much and possess the skills necessary to play the position. I would like to see this rule changed as quick as possible, so I can participate this season before my time in my senior year comes to an end.
