#ScumMo and the myth of the #TaxedNots

Were you as angry and disgusted by Scott Morrison's comments blaming our economic woes on poor people not paying enough tax as I was? You're certainly not alone. He is quite an objectionable man and the entire economic framework on which we have based our government for the past 40 years equally so. The simple fact is that the Australian Government only accepts Australian dollar reserves in payment of taxes. The government must spend beyond the propensity of the non government sector to save in order to give everyone enough income, then it can tax it back to control the economy. Money to pay taxes comes FROM the government. Please spread the word about functional finance and modern monetary theory to send a message to our politicians across the political spectrum that we will not buy this neoliberal nonsense any longer.
