FANTASTIC NEWS!! A few days ago I contacted Soi Dog Foundation in Thailand for help. I knew that they are fighting this trade in all of Asia, and today I had a reply from them. They said that the trade has all but ended in Thailand so they are now turning their attention to South Korea, Vietnam and Indonesia, They did not mention China and the Yulin Festival, so I have emailed them back to ask and to thank them for the information. I also asked them to update me further when anything of any importance happens in any of the countries. I will update you further when I know any more. They are currently working with the South Korean Government to eventually end the trade. However, Moran Market in South Korea, which is one of the largest markets in the country, has now banned the sale and slaughter of dogs. THIS IS A MASSIVE STEP FORWARD IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION!! Soi Dog are also working with the younger generation in South Korea to educate them to turn away from eating dog meat and they getting very positive feedback. This is also very encouraging. In the meantime, I will continue with my petition to raise awareness to this horrific trade in Asia and to get the U.K. Government to take notice and act accordingly, and hopefully other countries' governments will also be made aware of this and also take action.
