Moving Forward in Seattle & Portland!

Pacific Hyperloop

Apr 9, 2017
Hi everyone!
My name is Richard Kim, and I’m the Director of Marketing & PR for Pacific Hyperloop. I’ll be the guy updating you on our progress, such as our presentation in D.C., our new partnerships, and our future plans to expand as an organization.
Before I give you an update, we all want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the support that you have given us. We have collected over 3,300 signatures in less than a month, and we showed our judges at Washington D.C. that the people of Seattle and Portland are behind Pacific Hyperloop. This kind of support shows our want for innovation and unity, so we want to thank you again for taking action.
We just came back from D.C. after giving our presentation, and we’ve learned where our proposal is strong and where it is weak. We have a strong economic case because of our growing and diversified economy, aerospace industry, and population growth/density issue. We do have to work more on the urban planning, civil engineering, and infrastructure aspect of our proposal. So, we are actually looking for new members to join our team. We will be sending out our job descriptions for new members in Seattle and Portland in the next update/email.
In terms of the global competition, the announcement of teams that will be moving on to the finalist round will be made in late June. Until then, we have a lot of work to do, and there are a couple of ways you can get involved in our cities’ future.
I’d like to invite our active supporters to our private Facebook and LinkedIn Group where we will discuss new ideas and opportunities to further our progress. We are expecting a lot of collaborative engagement in these groups. If you would like to join, please enter your name and email address in this link, and we will send you the invitation to the private groups. There will be social media contests, giveaways, and invitations to private events that will be discussed with those of you in the private groups.

There's a long road ahead of us, but we are honored and grateful to be working towards a common goal – to be the frontier of a world-transforming technology called Hyperloop.
Make sure to tell your friends and family about what we’re working to accomplish, and make sure to get involved in this historic movement.
Richard out!
